During a summer in Malaysia, Che‑ting joined a picture book workshop in Klang, a city 30 km away from Kuala Lumpur, as the only foreign student in the class. Thanks to her classmates’ warm hospitality—sharing local food, giving rides, and even hosting her—she experienced authentic everyday life beyond the tourist areas of KL. This zine was created to capture and treasure those moments, comparing the familiar and strange between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
有年夏天，車婷飛到馬來西亞參加繪本工作坊。課堂地點不在熱鬧的吉隆坡市中心，而是在30公里外的巴生，她亦是班上唯一的外國學生。多虧同學們的熱情接待——有人分享當地小吃、有人順路開車接載、有人邀她到家借宿——讓她有機會感受當地真實的日常生活。這本雙城小誌《熟悉又陌生的城市：香港與吉隆坡》，正是為了記錄與珍藏那些特別時刻而誕生。
About Che-ting
Che-ting enjoys transforming the overlooked little things into the nourishment for her illustrated creations. She embarked on several art journeys around the world for her self-initiated project "On My Way to Make Zine”. She published "Baba's Album”, "Travel Trilogy”, self-published “Welcome to Hong Kong, my friends” and “Our Hong Kong Stories”.
車婷喜歡把路上觀察到的微小事物轉化為圖文創作。曾在世界展開「 在地創作Zine 」藝遊之旅，在當地印製旅途小誌。著有繪本《爸爸相簿》、圖文書《旅繪三國誌》、獨立出版《香港香港》和《我們香港故事》等。
